Jay every winter i find myself coming back to this album. cold and drawn back to its barest elements, this music serves as an instrument of meditation through the cold season. Favorite track: Stave Peak.

atomicthumbs there are natural processes at work here, at a larger scale and for a longer time than you can possuibly imagine Favorite track: Black Tusk.

brantly This ended up being my most listened to LP of '20. The LP is gorgeously at one with my surroundings and as Eno always desired, works perfectly with headphones on during a long dog walk where I am super focused on the music, or lying on the couch with the cats kinda paying attention, or as I cook, passively interacting with the LP in background. It's an interwoven tapestry of subtle electronic ebbs and flows, and pulsing waves of measured ambience.

about

A second edition of the 2011 album with new artwork, an additional track - Black Tusk (Descent) - and remastered by James Plotkin. Available on vinyl for the first time and available again on CD.

"...the seemingly stoic music on this album, which progresses with nature’s inevitability... may be threatening at times, but it is also comforting..." - HEADPHONE COMMUTE
