Connecting and empowering young people as the new generation to become the change they want to see.

About us

At Crossing Borders, we are working towards creating dialogue space for everyone. Today, young people are growing up in a world filled with inequality, where globalizing processes not only bring people closer together, but also widen divisions between them. Our vision is to see young people and their educators cross personal, cultural, geographic, professional, and generational borders on equal terms. Since the organization was established over 15 years ago, we have been working towards building capacity of youth, media workers, and educators. We are providing them with knowledge about diversity and globalization as well as tools for creating space for dialogue among different cultures and viewpoints. Our activities are diverse, with the main focus on non-formal education. In Denmark, we organize workshops for schools, teacher conferences, short term trainings, long term courses, and other events. Internationally, we are partners in projects about sustainability, democracy, inclusion, global issues, and many other topics with other NGOs and social enterprises. Collaboration is our priority. If you want to join, invite us to facilitate an event, or become a partner in a project – feel free to contact us at: cb@crossingborders.dk

Celebrating 25 years of empowerment, action, and meaningful connection! ✨   Today, we are proud to mark 25 years of Crossing Borders! It has been an incredible journey rooted in our mission to empower individuals and create a safe space for dialogue.   As we reflect on the world around us, it saddens us to see how intolerance disrupts peace. We remain committed in our hope for a future where diversity is celebrated, and respect prevails. 🕊   Together, let's continue to work towards a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable world.   Warm regards, Team Crossing Borders 🌍

Collaborating with teachers on the Learning Spaces for SDG4 project has ignited their professional growth as they embrace new strategies, becoming even more effective educators. 🎓 The testimonials speak volumes about the impact of 21st-century teaching tools in the classroom! These transformative experiences show that with the right resources and guidance, every child can achieve foundational literacy - a crucial skill for thriving in our ever-evolving world. 🌍 We’re proud to collaborate with Teach the Child Initiative on this project, which is making strides in bridging educational disparities in the Bwari Area Council, Nigeria.
