  • Another year, another de-icing course! ❄️   With winter approaching, we’re ramping up our preparations. Recently, we attended a recurrent De/Anti-Icing Training in Helsinki, Finland, organized by Juha Fieandt from JBA Aviation Oy. The training provided a great chance to refresh our expertise and collaborate with colleagues on this crucial topic.   Aircraft de-icing / anti-icing is a critical procedure to prevent the buildup of ice, which can negatively impact the plane's aerodynamics and flight safety. Ensuring thorough de-icing and snow clearance guarantees safe takeoff operations for every flight.   Discover more about our de-icing services here 👉 https://shorturl.at/FRUvU #BGSTravel #BGS #Aviation #DeIcing #AntiIcing #Training #Aircraft

  • Whether you have a mobility impairment, temporary or permanent, or are traveling with someone who does, navigating airports can be challenging. Many even hesitate to travel due to concerns about managing their disabilities or health issues. Here are some tips to help you prepare for a flight and ensure you have the necessary support throughout your journey: 👇   1. Request assistance in advance 🙏 When booking your flight or checking in online, request any assistance you may need. An airline representative may contact you for additional information before your departure date. At the airport, BGS check-in staff can also call for assistance if needed, and there’s often a button at the entrance for this purpose as well.   2. Allow extra time at the airport. ⏳ We recommend arriving two to three hours early, before catching your international flight, just to give ample time for moving around the airport and making sure that requested help is in place.   3. Communicate clearly at check-in. 📣 Once you get to the airport, identify yourself to a check-in agent as someone who requested assistance when booking your ticket. Wheelchair assistance will then be promptly arranged if that’s what you need, or perhaps a guide if you’re visually impaired, and the necessary information will be passed on to the flight crew accordingly.   4. Pack strategically. 🧳 Remember, your medical equipment, such as a wheelchair, CPAP machine, or diabetes monitoring devices, do not count toward your carry-on items. Also, keep important documents like your flight itinerary, doctor's notes, emergency contacts, and medical information easily accessible in your carry-on.   There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but accessible travel is more possible than ever with proper planning and the other useful tips mentioned above. Being prepared, knowing your rights, and good communication are all key when ensuring you have a pleasant flight every time.   #BGSTravel #TravelSmarter #TravelTipWednesday #BGS #Aviation

BGS Completes 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠! 👏 We are pleased to announce that over the past two weeks, the BGS team at Vilnius Airport had the opportunity to participate in intensive BRS training conducted by specialists from "Luggage Logistics Ltd". The BRS (Baggage Reconciliation System) is a significant innovation designed to streamline baggage check-in and sorting processes in Lithuania, helping to significantly reduce human error risks and accelerate baggage operations. 🛅 During the training, we analyzed the system's functionality and had the opportunity to practically test it with real flights. We have now begun periodic system and scanner testing and are preparing for staff training in the new Vilnius Airport terminal. We are grateful to Luggage Logistics professionals Adam and Shaun for their invaluable contributions. Their knowledge and experience will be indispensable in our daily operations. We also want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this training, and we look forward to new opportunities to grow together! ✈ #BGS #Aviation #AviationTraining #Airport
