🌟 Week 1 in Silicon Valley: Insights and Inspiration for Biohifas 🌟 This week, the Biohifas team began our journey in Silicon Valley, participating in the Plug and Play GOAL (Global Overseas Acceleration & Learning) program. It’s been an incredible opportunity to connect with experienced mentors and founders, including those who have worked with leaders like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Their stories of both success and failure have given us valuable perspectives on the startup journey. We also had the chance to meet other Baltic founders, including a Lithuanian entrepreneur who recently raised $17M USD—a great moment of pride for our community 🌍 🙌 A visit to Stanford University was another highlight, reminding us of the powerful role that education and innovation play in shaping the future. The atmosphere here in the Bay Area is vibrant and full of opportunities. Startup Fair Pulse 2024 was a blast! 🚀 We had an incredible time showcasing some exciting prototypes using our fermented mycelium biomass in collaboration with our amazing partners: 1. Alt-meat tacos 🥙 — Created in partnership with the fantastic Berlin-based startup Brew Bites. It's inspiring to see Lithuanian talent bringing ideas to life! 2. Mushroom & cheese-flavored chips 🍄🧀 - A collaboration with CHAZZ CHIPS and Food ideas. Fun fact: our mycelium-brewers' spent grain biomass contains spermidine - a well-known longevity compound that rejuvenates cells! While these chips are more about indulgence, it's exciting to see their nutritional potential too. 3. Instant noodles and buckwheat porridge 🍜 - Enriched with mycelium-based bites, offering a nutritious and delicious twist on everyday staples! The response was overwhelming! Even TV reporters came to cover the event 🎥 We had amazing discussions with people from government institutions and other sectors, and we truly believe in the bright future of sustainable food. 🌱 It is amazing to see that large companies like Kauno Grūdai and Ekonomikos ir inovacijų ministerija together with Inovacijų agentūra are supporting positive transformation of food industry! We didn't expect such a huge interest - we got out of stock! 😅 That’s a great sign we’re on the right track.
