This volume was conceived as part of the MotherNet project and bridges the involuntary/voluntary divide in non-motherhood scholarship. Unlike the majority of texts on non-motherhood which choose to focus on the experience as either voluntary or involuntary, this volume seeks to deconstruct the barriers between these two positions and, instead, allow them to enter into dialogue with each other. Rather than pitting the voluntary non-mother against the involuntary non-mother, we believe it is more fruitful to consider the experience of non-motherhood in a more processual and interconnected way. The book is open access and can be read here: https://lnkd.in/dE3tEh9E Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, Maynooth University, Uppsala University

Balandžio 22–26 d. MotherNet project dalyvė Inga Hilbig lankėsi Upsalos ir Stokholmo universitetuose pas kolegas sociolingvistus, dirbačius dvikalbystės ir šeimų kalbų politikos srityse. Ji skaitė pranešimus „Multiligualism in Lithuania and in the Lithuanian diaspora“ ir „How does it feel when bilingualism in families seems to fail“? Taip pat užsiėmė tinklaveika, Erasmus vizitų, projektinės veiklos planavimu, susipažino su ją priėmusių padalinių veikla. Žinoma, veiksmas vyko ir neformalioje aplinkoje – per bendrus pietus ir švediškus kavogėrius („fika“)!
