  • PPMI has successfully wrapped up another round of coordinating the European Expert Network on Economics of Education (EENEE) under the Erasmus+ Programme. For three consecutive years, PPMI has ensured smooth collaboration between leading academic experts and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture (DG EAC), delivering valuable insights on the economics of education. In 2023, under PPMI’s coordination, EENEE produced several key reports on topics such as teacher shortages, digital transformation in blended learning (BL) environments, and non-formal education for sustainability. These contributions, alongside policy briefs and research trend analyses, have played a crucial role in supporting the European Commission's ongoing policy efforts in education and training. • PPMI is happy to continue our collaboration with the European Training Foundation (ETF) to establish a mandate for a Sector Skill Council (SSC) in Egypt's dynamic renewable energy sector. 🌿⚡ Since May 2024, PPMI has been engaging with key stakeholders across the renewable energy sector in Egypt to shape the mandate of this pilot SSC. Our mission? To align workforce trainings with the sector’s specific skills needs, supporting Egypt’s economic goals and recent legislative developments. 📈 Looking ahead, we  are gearing up to conduct a comprehensive capacity needs assessment and develop an action plan to launch this SSC. This will include hands-on training sessions in Egypt and peer learning visits for the key stakeholders abroad.✈️ These steps are set to empower the SSC to drive innovation and growth in Egypt’s renewable energy sector! 🚀💡 #PPMIprojects #CapacityBuilding #VET #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability

Together with colleagues from PPMI, ICF, and the European Commission, we organised the SHARE 2.0 Annual Conference! Last Wednesday, we gathered 100+ European sport sector stakeholders in Brussels to discuss their policy priorities in the areas of innovation, health, and sustainability. Mantas Pupinis and I facilitated discussions on the topics of digitalisation and scale-ups, the key points of which were summarised by topic experts Grzegorz Botwina and Arno Hermans and presented to the Commission's director for sport. The outcomes of these discussions will form the basis of a policy paper, which will in turn inform the new Commission of the sport sector's priorities for the years to come. A big thank you to everyone involved in the organisation and the lively discussions for making this event a success!
