Sensmetry is actively contributing to the development of the core Systems Engineering & Digital Twin language #SysMLv2! Our CEO Juozas is busy in Chicago at the OMG 2024 Q3 meeting this week with other industry leaders getting the #SysMLv2 standard and its emerging ecosystem ready for the first official #SysMLv2 release, expected by the end of the year. The OMG even has featured Sensmetry's Juozas as part of the SysML v2 band among distinguished SysML leaders (the post below). Getting the systems engineering industry leaders to agree is critical for a wide-scale #SysMLv2 adoption. This, in turn, enables a wide-scale #SystemAsCode paradigm shift to become a reality using our #SysIDE tool. #SysIDE is a leading widely adopted SysML v2 modelling tool that is available as open source (with a more powerful 'Pro' version coming soon). #SysMLv2 #OMG #SysIDE #Sensmetry

Did you ever come across the question, how to #collaboratively work with a bunch of people on a non-commercial #SysML project? With SysML v1 this was nearly impossible without spending hundrets of dollars for a SysML tool, if you could aquire it as a private person at all, or use the open-source tool Papyrus, which had other issues. Yesterday we had a very interesting guest in the MBSE Podcast. Juozas Vaicenavicius from Sensmetry provides a SysML v2 tool named #SysIDE (pronounced: seaside). There is a community edition which is simply a (free) plugin for Visual Studio Code (#VSC, free). With SysIDE you can develop SysML v2 models in the textual notation. Combine this with a free git-repository at #Github or #Gitlab and you can use the VS Code integrated git feature to commit, branch and merge your models. By the way SysIDE is much more than just syntax highlighting! Watch the latest episode of the MBSE Podcast and learn in the demo how to use SysIDE. If you want to try it out, you can use the Batmobile example model from our #book: https://lnkd.in/eMBvw8FF

❖ Public funding is indispensable but arduous EU (European Union) has ambitious and technologically accurate development goals that are implemented through paper-heavy and costly bureaucratic processes, which each startup must learn to navigate. Sensmetry, as a small R&D company at the forefront of innovation, is continuously learning the ropes of EU funding. The pinnacle of Sensmetry’s innovation is SysIDE. We are looking for opportunities where SysIDE, our textual editor for SysML v2, could benefit the EU projects including Horizon Europe. Read the article at Science|Business following the link in the comments, where our CEO, Juozas Vaicenavicius, discusses SysIDE, systems engineering in a system-as-code paradigm and the intricacies of EU funding.

📣 Sensmetry steps up efforts in industrial standardization Sensmetry has recently joined OMG, the venerable industrial standards development organization, which develops the most advanced systems engineering language SysML v2. Sensmetry believes that OMG is an institution of crucial importance, setting a trend for innovation and helping to find a common ground for different interests. After being a part of OMG’s systems modeling community since last year, Sensmetry is eager for SysML v2 to become the most successful systems engineering language. Thus, we are keen to support ongoing efforts in the finalization task forces contributing to SysML v2 development. Our interest is long-term - we will go beyond the SysML v2  release by continuing our contribution to future updates. We especially admire OMG for coming up with SysML v2 so that systems modeling can be done with textual editing, using a tool like SysIDE, which is already reflected in OMG SysML Vendor listing. We wish to extend our appreciation for all of the OMG members, who have been continuously and diligently working on developing SysML v2. Special thanks to Ed Seidewitz, Manas Bajaj, Tim Weilkiens, Hans Peter de Koning and Sandy Friedenthal for thought leadership!

🔔 European Space Agency - ESA among the pioneers of SysML v2 It’s so great to see ESA being a pioneer of SysML v2, by implementing their decision to migrate ESA methodology reference files to SysML v2. Sensmetry feels great respect for ESA’s precise and accurate shot in choosing the best and freely available SysML v2 text editor and visualization tools in the market. ESA has chosen SysIDE as the text editor which significantly reduces the time of model building. We hope that ESA continues this visionary program of having all systems engineering reference files in SysML v2 and we are glad to support ESA in this endeavor.
