About The Role And The Team

In the Development & IT department, we are responsible for the development, support, maintenance and operation of Adform Flow. Our most important responsibility is to deliver a stable and competitive product to our clients. We do that by putting client value in focus, our success is predicated on the success and happiness of our clients, both internally and externally.

We are looking for a Junior Big Data Engineer to help us develop and maintain Adform reporting and analytics products. You will be working in an Agile team with world-class engineers, product managers, and leaders in multiple locations worldwide. Your main tools will be Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Vertica DB. You will be exposed to a broad selection of tools and development practices that allow fast and resilient conversion of unstructured data into a scalable high-performance data warehouse for online analytical processing.

• Write Spark jobs that transform and load data, test and deploy changes to other services that are part of the team's domain
• Maintain and develop a high-performance data warehouse that is built on Vertica DB
• Learn and follow Adform and team coding and testing practices
• Get familiar with the Adform reporting platform
• Collaborate with, and learn from other teammates
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and raise questions

• Enjoy working with data
• Are confident with SQL for analytical queries/databases (not CRUD)
• Have experience in data or analytics engineering
• Know the basics of Python, Scala or Java
• Have basic knowledge of unit testing, source control, CI/CD, artefacts
• Are familiar with Linux and worked with CLI
  
  
  

Stand out by having:

• Experience with Apache Spark/Hadoop
• Experience with Vertica or any other OLAP/analytic DBMS
