The Swiss national holiday occurs every August 1 and commemorates the birth of the Confederation, which took place in early August of the year 1291. In this day, Nova Marine Carriers, one of our Group Companies, is launching the new website, revamped in content and design.

Since October 2022, Duferco Energia SpA has been supporting Ogyre's work. To this day, thanks to their contribution and the efforts of customers who chose to help them, more than 8,500 kilograms of marine waste have been removed from the sea. And the journey with @Ogyre is still a long one: they are, in fact, committed to funding a total collection of 38,000 kg of marine litter by July 2027.

Duferco Danish Steel is a dynamic company, constantly striving to achieve a high standard customer service. Since the acquisition by Duferco in 2006, the production range was extended with an entirely new mix of profiles such as U-profiles and equal angles.

Nova Marine Group, one of our Group Companies, and Algoma Central Corporation ordered the largest and the greenest cement carrier in the world. The largest but also the most eco-friendly methanol dual fuel vessel will be fitted with a "state of the art" cold ironing system for use of green energies combined with exhaust gas recycling to generate electricity and will be built in China and delivered by the end of 2026. Considering coaching as a powerful development catalyst, Duferco ensures that structured and continuous training programs are accessible to all levels of personnel for educational advancement. The cumulative hours of training provided to employees increased significantly over the year, totaling approximately 28,767 hours in FY2023, a 53% increase from 18,773 hours in FY2022.

Our President, Antonio Gozzi, has been reelected as the President of Federacciai for the two-year period 2024-2026: the election confirms the designation received from the General Council of the Association last May, continuing the assignment assumed two years ago. With a perspective of continuity and in the context of a very delicate Italian and international situation, the Assembly of Federacciai deemed it appropriate to give full trust to the same team that worked in a highly consistent and collaborative way in recent years.

Next Thursday, we will be at the second edition of Feuromed, the Euro-Mediterranean Festival of Economics in Naples. An annual event that aims to restore pride, conceptual skills and organization to the South of Italy. Our President Antonio Gozzi will participate in the panel discussion scheduled for Friday on European Industrial Policies and the New Mediterranean.

World Water Day 2024 has recently gone by, but every day should be celebrated the life force that sustains us all: water. The project we launched together with Ogyre aims precisely to conserve, respect and defend this resource.
