🚨 #News#News#News 🚨 OCMC – Oxide Ceramic Matrix Composites We present Oxide Ceramic Matrix Composites (OCMC) – an innovative fiber-reinforced ceramic material that is particularly suitable for demanding applications at extreme temperatures. We, the EURO-COMPOSITES-GROUP, which is active both in research and in manufacture of sophisticated composite parts, offer tailored solutions that combine lightweight and outstanding mechanical and temperature resistant properties. Advantages of OCMCs: • Low weight and thin-walled • High damage tolerance • Thermal shock resistance and excellent thermal stability at temperatures up to 1250°C • Very good thermal insulation properties OCMCs can replace thermally stressed metal components that lose their strength at high temperatures. Metal parts made of steel or stainless steel fail at temperatures starting from 600°C, while high-performance steels like Inconel lose their strength above 900°C. OCMCs have high strengths even at high temperatures between 600°C and 1250°C. 🔥 Industries, particularly industrial and mechanical engineering, benefit greatly from the advantages of OCMCs. OCMCs can be used in foundry and high temperature oven applications. In aerospace, OCMCs are especially suitable for engine components, heat shields, radomes and structural parts exposed to extreme thermal and mechanical stresses.
