Smells like Harvest Season Spirit 🌱💚 We are pleased to announce the upcoming US October harvest for our plant-grown products GLASO™ and Piggy Sooy™. It will consist of harvesting 600 acres of genetically modified safflower producing gamma-linolenic acid -GLA- in Idaho, and field trials for bioengineered soybeans with meat proteins in three different locations: Ohio, Missouri and Iowa. Both crops have been cleared by USDA-APHIS to be grown in US territory without permits. Main purpose for these campaigns is product development (both sampling and commercialization), seed increase and gathering of environmental and regulatory data to continue Moolec’s Piggy Sooy™ US-FDA approval pathway. One acre of Piggy Sooy™ 🐽 could potentially produce pork meat proteins equivalent to 10 pigs, reducing water footprint, land usage and CO2 emissions. After many months of work, we are glad to announce the signing of an R&D collaboration agreement with Bunge Argentina with the purpose of working together on the development of safflower varieties to improve productivity for specific applications and markets. Bunge Argentina is a subsidiary of Bunge Global (NYSE: BG). It is one of the most important agribusiness companies within the country engaged in agricultural activity that integrates grain marketing, reception and storage, oilseeds industrialization, meal production with a varied content of proteins, and vegetable oil production -either refined for human consumption or crude– for global markets.
