🍃Within the Socfin Group, part of our sustainability programme focuses on the environment and in particular on the management of natural resources and the recycling of waste. 🌿 ➡️In Cambodia, our subsidiary has embarked on its Zero Waste Journey 🛣️ in collaboration with Little Green Spark. The aim is to reduce waste production and improve waste management. The project included a diagnostic phase, an audit and a planning phase; and revealed strategies for reducing, reusing, recycling and safely disposing of waste 🚮 ♻️. Congratulations on this journey and on their commitment! 👏
I'm excited to share that Little Green Spark has been working with Socfin Cambodia in the stunning Mondulkiri province! They've embarked on a fantastic journey to reduce their waste output and improve overall waste management. This commitment is particularly impressive considering the challenges faced in remote locations like Mondulkiri, where access to recyclers can be limited. We've recently completed the diagnostic phase, which included facility observations and a thorough waste audit. We then transitioned to the planning phase, holding a collaborative workshop to identify the most impactful recommendations for Socfin to implement. A big round of applause to Socfin Cambodia for their dedication to sustainability! Their commitment to achieving ISO 14001 certification is truly commendable. While I'll be taking a well-deserved break next week, I'll be back mid-July to finalize the implementation plan with Socfin.
