Building bridges of happiness by connecting World artists with engaged citizens to raise funding for the Water crisis.
À propos
Picture this: a world where you could open the tap to 200 million hours through the universal language of emotion: Art. We build bridges of happiness by connecting European and African artists with engaged citizens of the world to raise funding for the Water crisis. Every day 800 million people wake up without access to clean water. The impact? Girls and women lose 200 million hours each day venturing to collect water in the fight for health for their families – picture the opportunities if they get this time back. Girls can spend time going to school. Women can start their own businesses. Kids no longer have to suffer from water-borne diseases. Suddenly, the economy picks up. Houses are built. Villages turn into towns and towns into self-sufficient economies. Most importantly, more people will wake up and be able to reach for a glass of clean water.

One of my proudest moments as an artist! Last week, I had the incredible honor of representing Luxembourg in Atlanta, alongside the renowned artist Barthélémy Toguo from Cameroon, at the Waves for Change charity gala hosted by What Water and Unspoken Angels. The evening, emceed by none other than Ludacris, brought together 180 guests from sports, entertainment, and business, all united for a vital cause—access to clean water in Africa. I was thrilled to see my artwork auctioned for nearly 70% above the estimated price, with Ludacris himself as the highest bidder! Together, we raised $300,000 to support water infrastructure projects in Cameroon and Gabon. A huge thank you to Gwennaël T. Tchoungui, Axelle Salvage, Louis Haas Louise Bertille Sefolosha of What Water as well as their whole team, and Eudoxie Bridges, founder of Unspoken Angels, for their dedication and leadership in making this event such a success. It was truly an unforgettable night of art, philanthropy, and collaboration. I’m deeply grateful to have played a part in this impactful event.

👉 It was a pleasure to share our insights on expanding philanthropic efforts across continents with a driven and passionate audience during a specialized workshop held at MBOA PARIS on May 25th, 2024, in #Paris - The session also went on for an additional hour due to the lively engagement and curiosity of those attending. 💡 In the workshop, What Water outlined key points to consider when embarking on the journey of establishing an association with impact on the ground, such as: choosing a cause close to your heart, first steps in understanding legal and administrative aspects, building and managing a team effectively, tips for finding financing opportunities, among other important elements. 💧 What Water also had a booth where visitors could stop and discover our activities and learn more about matters concerning clean water access. This experience was incredibly fulfilling and we are looking forward to the upcoming events. 👋 See you in 2025 for the third edition of MBOA PARIS — the largest European event for the Cameroonian diaspora, which promotes entrepreneurial, associative, and cultural initiatives. #WhatWater #Wateraccess #MBOAParis
