One of Chile´s goals is to become carbon-neutral by 2050. An important aspect to reach this goal is to increase the share of renewable energy in the country´s energy mix through the further development of the electric transmission system which requires a lot of capital AllianzGI has contributed to the Chacao project which upon completion will be the largest solar farm in Chile with a generation capacity of 480MW.              Furthermore, there will be another project to support the conversion of an energy plant from diesel to natural gas, as part of Chile’s transition to greener energy sources. UK GB Solving the problem of wastewater flowing into the Thames 🌊 London has nearly nine million inhabitants today. But its sewers are over 150 years old and no longer have the capacity to meet the demands the city´s population. As a result, overflows are regular, resulting in tens of millions of tons of untreated sewage flowing into the river Thames. To solve this environmental problem, a major new sewer, the Thames Tideway Tunnel, is being built. Aimed at improving London’s environment, appearance and public health, the “super sewer”’ with a diameter of 7.2m will run for 25km, mainly beneath the river Thames intercepting sewage overflows and cleaning up the river. When complete, it is estimated that about 95% of the wastewater previously discharged into the Thames, will now be treated. Serving as a vital transportation link between the Northwest of Colombia and the rest of the country, the Conexión Norte 4G toll road project drives regional economic growth while also improving access and opportunities for underserved communities. ACP participated as the sole investor in the USD120 million institutional tranche issuance for the Conexión Norte toll road concession in Colombia´s Antioquia region. This investment is part of the broader USD 537 million financing package for the project. The project will significantly improve road connectivity to the Caribbean coast and its ports, reducing travel time for trucks by 6 hours from the economic hub Medellin to the coast city Cartagena. Travel time in surrounding municipalities will also be reduced, enhancing access for its inhabitants to commerce and essential services. Conexión Norte is part of the toll road program led by the Government of Colombia and consists of the construction, expansion, and operation of 145km of newly and existing roads between major cities in the northwest of Colombia. The consortium is led by Grupo Ortiz. 🚀 Congratulations to Ren-Gas and Fuella for being among the 7 winners 🏅 in the European Hydrogens Bank´s inaugural competitive bidding process. The EU awarded nearly €720m to #greenhydrogen 💚 in this first European Hydrogen Bank auction process. Ren-Gas Lahti plant in Finland and Fuella´s SkiGa project in Norway were selected among more than 130 submissions in an oversubscribed auction. After 8 years of hard work Tideway London has now built the full 25km, 7.2m-wide main tunnel, a 4.5km connection tunnel in south-east London, and a 1.1km tunnel in south-west London.  Allianz is one of the investors into this project. What an honor for the Tideway London Team to welcome Princess Royal Anne who was the first person to officially step foot on London's newest riverside vista as she was welcomed to Chelsea Quay, a brand new area of land built by Tideway above London's super sewer.
