Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture - NDPC

International Affairs

NDPC is a public partnership that connects the art, culture, and creative sectors with sustainable development.

About us

Since 2010, NDPC has been a leading international organization strengthening the role of the Cultural and Creative Sector (CCS) in sustainable development across the Northern Dimension region. The active members of the NDPC are the Ministries responsible for culture in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden, plus the European Commission. NDPC implements its strategy through project activities with 60+ project partners from all over Europe. The secretariat is based in Riga, Latvia. Dialogue and sharing of inspiration and knowledge is the key – thus we aim to connect across borders, across institutions and thus across sectors. What we do: We contribute to knowledge-based policy-making and the discourse about the role of CCS in sustainable development. We proactively initiate, develop, and disseminate new collaboration formats between the CCS and other sectors of society to promote the potential of cross-innovative practices. We facilitate forward dialogues between CCI practitioners, experts, and policymakers. We serve as a knowledge broker, producing new knowledge and making it more accessible. We support networks and contribute to the connectivity between our stakeholders across the region.
