Clients new to BIM often assume that asking more equals getting more. However, this is often not the case and can lead to various failures—not for BIM itself, but for the project or the client. Read more in the latest smallBIM blog post.: https://t.ly/w3Ina
About us
We live in the digital age. However, how much of this technology is utilized by those of us who live or work in buildings? In my opinion, it's too little. smallBIM is dedicated to changing this by bringing the value of digital technologies to everybody. smallBIM was created by Janis Berkis, the founder of ITED, where various technologies are employed to bring value to the construction industry, primarily targeting large clients and buildings. Janis holds a degree and has a background in construction, alongside a passion for new technology and knowledge sharing. He engages in teaching at universities, delivering lectures, and providing training to people.

Unfortunately, BIM is often used as a parallel process, where many of the people involved in design and construction rely on traditional tools and principles without ever seeing or using the models. In my opinion, this is a significant problem. BIM offers more transparent and accessible information, and when it's not utilized, it can become an added cost rather than a benefit. Beyond just introducing new tools and methods, BIM has the potential to enhance traditional processes like project management (PM), quantity takeoff (QTO), and more.
