🌍 International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction - October 13 🌍 On this day, we recognize the importance of building resilient communities capable of withstanding the impacts of natural and human-made disasters. The recent unfortunate floods in Derna, which affected thousands of lives, served as a catalyst for our participation in a critical international project aimed at ensuring reliable connectivity during disasters. Through this project, we contributed to uniting the efforts of telecoms and satellite communications (satcoms) to create resilient, life-saving connectivity solutions. Reliable communication during a disaster is essential—it connects displaced individuals with authorities, emergency services, and loved ones. Our work in this project was recognized with two prestigious awards: the 2024 Tech for Good Award and the 2024 Innovative and Futuristic Award, both awarded by the TM Forum® during the 2024 DTW event in Copenhagen, Denmark.
