Monaco Energy Boat Challenge edition 2024 was a success! Monaco Marine supported two teams from ENSTA Paris Taméo and Arts et Métiers d'Aix en Provence HydroGadz in this international competition aimed at promoting innovation and sustainability in clean energy boats. Our support, organized by Monaco Marine University, included technical and logistical assistance throughout this year of preparation and the week of competition. We are proud of our teams and their performances. Congratulations to all the participants for their commitment and innovation spirit. The Taméo ENSTA / MONACOMARINE team is ready to take on teams from all over the world at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024. 🏆   The competition consists of various events (speed, endurance, maneuverability, etc.) spread over the week, plus technical presentations of each team's innovations. We are excited to share that the HydroGadz team's project is progressing smoothly! Recently, the team visited our site in La Ciotat for their sea trials ahead of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge competition. Here are some key highlights from their visit: Preparation of the vessel was carried out at the Monaco Marine La Ciotat shipyard, with access to our workshops. Sea trials were conducted in the beautiful bay of La Ciotat. The Monaco Marine metal workshop designed and custom-fabricated a structure to securely attach the cockpit to the test floats. Their mentor helped them prepare for the sea trials. We can't wait to see them compete at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, taking place next week from July 1st to July 6th at the Yacht Club de Monaco! Stay tune, everything is happening very soon! [Testing at Toulon] [French Below] Last week, we went to Toulon in the south of France to meet our sponsors and test our boat before the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. 🚢 We were welcomed by Monaco Marine at their shipyard in La Seyne sur Mer, and were also able to visit the one in La Ciotat. It was a great opportunity to find out how yacht refit works, and the organization required for the project to run smoothly. Many thanks to them for this opportunity! 🔧 The first day was devoted to assembling the boat. We brought most of this year's new features to Toulon: - The aluminum chassis, much lighter than last year's. - 2 new 51V batteries - The new front cockpit - The rear engine pod, complete with all on-board electronics. On the second day, we were able to test the boat's balance, floatability and steering, as well as the rear engine pod. However, due to high waves, the tests were cut short. For the challenge, we'll be adding two engine pods at the front, as well as the rear fuselage. [French] La semaine dernière, nous sommes allés à Toulon dans le sud de la France afin de rencontrer nos sponsors ainsi que tester notre bateau avant le Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. 🚢 Nous avons été accueillis par Monaco Marine sur leur chantier naval à la Seyne sur Mer, et nous avons aussi pu visiter celui de la Ciotat. Cela a été l’occasion de découvrir comment se déroule la rénovation de yachts et l’organisation nécessaire au bon fonctionnement du projet. Un grand merci à eux pour cette opportunité ! 🔧 La première journée a été consacrée à l’assemblage du bateau. Nous avons amené à Toulon la plupart des nouveautés de cette année : -       Le châssis en aluminium bien plus léger que celui de l’an dernier -       Les 2 nouvelles batteries de 51V -       Le nouveau cockpit avant -       Le pod moteur arrière, accompagné de toute l’électronique embarquée Durant la deuxième journée, nous avons pu tester l’équilibre, la flottabilité, la direction du bateau ainsi que le pod moteur arrière. En raison des fortes vagues, les tests ont néanmoins été écourtés. Pour le challenge, nous allons notamment ajouter deux pods moteur à l’avant, ainsi que le fuselage arrière.
