The SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association thanks Accord RAMOGE Florent Champion Clara Fricano and Pelagos Agreement for inviting SEA Index to Sciences Po Menton yesterday on the occasion of the very first joint event between the two organisations. This event was in favour of their actions towards preserving marine biodiversity, posidonia preservation, MPA challenges and the fight against pollutions. Our general secretary, Natalie Quévert enjoyed the round table discussions and participating in the dedicated workshops, including yachting & cruise industry. I just couldn’t keep this one in the bag, even on a Friday night before MYS 😂 This is the first time in the History of Yachting that a yacht has received an independently verified energy rating certification including methanol reformer fuel-cell technology, and SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association did it! 💪We are still the only non-biased yachting organisation that independently issue energy efficiency certifications, but this is a first! It’s official! Saint Tropez & SEA Index 🤝 Saint-Tropez officialises its SEA Index® Institutional Membership. Last thursday, Mrs. Sylvie Siri, Mayor of Saint-Tropez and Regional Councillor, Mr. Michel Perrault, culture, Port and maritime deputy, Mr. Tony Oller, Director of the Port of Saint-Tropez, and Mr. Bernard d'Alessandri, Vice-President of the SEA Index, formalised this collaboration at the Capitainerie de Saint-Tropez. Sylvie Siri, Mayor of Saint-Tropez, Regional Councillor: "The integration of the Port of Saint-Tropez into the SEA Index is an essential step in our approach towards sustainable yachting. 🌊 RAMOGE Welcomes SEA Index at Genoa Boat Show On September 22, SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association participated in a roundtable on sustainable practices in large yachting and cruising, in collaboration with the Accord RAMOGE, at the Salone Nautico Internazionale di Genova. The Mediterranean, a premier tourist destination, attracts 15% of the global cruise industry and 70% of mega-yachts annually, which poses significant environmental challenges. 🌍 During the discussions, the pivotal role of the RAMOGE Agreement in safeguarding Mediterranean waters, particularly in the Pelagos Sanctuary, was underscored. This collaborative effort between Monaco, France, and Italy showcases a united commitment to preserving the marine environment. The enriching dialogue allowed experts, scientists, and authorities to exchange best practices in sustainability, addressing the responsibilities of ports, boaters, and cruise lines. The SEA Index, represented by Natalie Quévert,  was honoured to have been invited to talk about the work of the Yacht Club de Monaco on the topic of superyacht sustainability.
