WHEN KNOWLEDGE ISN'T ENOUGH⁉️ In many organizations, employees have superiors who are highly skilled and knowledgeable. They can learn from them everything about the job and technical skills. But sometimes there’s something missing - those essential elements that make all the difference in employee growth: feedback, encouragement and support. Without these elements, employees can feel stuck. 🔶So what to do when your superior can teach you the operational aspects of the job but doesn’t provide other support or feedback you need to truly grow? 🎯Here are some strategies: ✔️ Invest in your own development; One of the most empowering actions you can take is to take charge of your own growth. You don’t need to wait for someone with a roadmap for your personal development. Take the initiative to identify areas where you want to grow. ✔️ Seek external feedback and mentorship; If you’re not receiving the feedback you need from your direct superior, look outside your circle. Engage with other leaders in your organization or external coaches and mentors. Coaching and mentoring sessions offer perspectives that help you tackle challenges and grow beyond your current skill set. 🔶As a somatic and leadership coach, I’ve had many clients who came precisely because they had that awareness. They found ways to reflect on their experiences, gain fresh insights and develop new strategies. ✔️ Foster self-awareness; Self-reflection is a critical tool for personal and professional growth. Instead of relying only on external feedback, regularly check in with yourself. Ask yourself questions like: 1️⃣ What are my current strengths? 2️⃣ What can be better? 3️⃣ How have I contributed to recent successes or obstacles? 4️⃣ What habits or behaviors do I want to change? ✔️ Build a support network; Surround yourself with colleagues and friends who can offer you guidance, feedback, and support. By building a community of trusted people who are invested in your growth, you can create a more holistic support system. ✔️ Manage expectations; Sometimes, the lack of feedback or support from a superior isn’t personal. It may simply be that the manager is too focused on operational tasks or isn’t skilled in providing developmental support. In these situations, it’s important to manage your expectations and set boundaries around your own needs. So, communicate your needs openly and constructively. For example, you could request a regular feedback session or ask for specific areas of guidance. Balance2Business #coaching #mentorsheep

✨ The second day of training for the seventh generation of SBH brought a wealth of new knowledge and valuable experiences. Participants enhanced their communication skills and discovered ways to better understand their conversation partners and strengthen their personal and professional development. Jelena Vuletic, ACC presented practical tools that will help participants better understand themselves and others, improve communication, and build authentic relationships. The Hub members were empowered through exercises to continue their development and become the best versions of themselves. 💡 A particularly inspiring speaker was Anton Jurovicki from Coinis, a partner from the beginning of SBH, who shared his personal experiences with the youth and encouraged them to step confidently toward their goals. His story reminded participants that the first step, although often the most challenging, brings about significant change. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners Coinis, Alter Modus , CMM Group, Novi Volvox, Glosarij, UCG Career Center, and NTP, whose support makes the implementation of the program possible. 💛 📸 Photos: Vesela Mišković

RESPECTING COMPETITION❗ Cambridge Dictionary defines competition as a situation in which someone is trying to win something or be more successful than someone else. 🔶It’s completely natural to keep an eye on the competition. After all, understanding what others are doing can help you stay relevant. However, there’s an important distinction between being aware of the competition and crossing ethical boundaries. Too often, people within teams, as well as companies in relation to other companies, fall into the trap of “borrowing” ideas from each other without giving proper recognition. 💡 Respecting competition matters. Competition, when approached with respect and ethics, can elevate everyone. It encourages innovation, pushes boundaries, and benefits clients. In many professions, especially those built on cooperation and support, integrity should be a core value. Those supporting others should always practice what they preach. They should “walk the talk”, be supportive and work hard, not fear the competition. 🎯Here’s the key to respecting competition which applies both within the team and between companies: ✔️ Acknowledge the work of others. ✔️ Respect your competitors. They’re driving the industry forward, just like you. ✔️ Support your colleagues. There’s enough space in every team and every market. ✔️ Be inspired, but don’t take without asking. Always ask for permission. ✔️ Express gratitude when you learn from others. 🎯 Tips for ethical competition: ✔️ Monitor, but don’t mimic- It’s okay to follow what your competitors are doing, but find your own approach. ✔️ Always credit your sources - If you’re inspired by your colleague or another company’s work, acknowledge it. Recognition builds respect. ✔️ Ask for permission- Before adopting an idea, ask the original creator for permission. ✔️ Stay inspired- Keep searching for inspiration within your own business or team. Remember, what matters most is how you do something, not whether you’re the first to do it. Balance2Business #coaching #competition

FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO) IN THE WORKPLACE💡 You probably remember when we explored the concept of gaslighting and its impact on workplace dynamics. 🚩Today, another term is gaining attention - FOMO or the fear of missing out. This fear is based on the idea that someone else is experiencing something more exciting or valuable and you are missing it out. While FOMO is often discussed in the context of social media, it is now becoming increasingly common in the workplace. 💡For some employees, FOMO manifests as a constant need to know everything and be involved in every conversation or project. They are rarely focused on their own tasks, constantly feeling that they should be somewhere else, doing something more important. As a result, they struggle with productivity and lack clear direction and self-confidence. This sense of being "all over the place" leads to burnout, stress, poor sleep, and anxiety. 🚩Somatic coaching can offer a powerful solution. By helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and find balance through somatic practices, somatic coaching addresses not only the mental but also the physical part of FOMO. 🎯There are many tips on how to deal with FOMO in the workplace. Here are some: ✔️ Practice gratitude: Focus on what you already have and what you’ve achieved, rather than worrying about what you might be missing. ✔️ Seek support: Consider techniques to help ground yourself through somatic coaching and manage stress. ✔️ Shift your mindset: Remind yourself that you can’t be everywhere at once, and that’s okay. Focus on the quality of your experiences rather than quantity. ✔️ Prioritize tasks: Focus on what’s important to you, not what you think you should be doing because others are. ✔️ Limit distractions: When you eliminate distractions, you can focus fully on tasks, complete them with better quality and faster. Student Business Hub continues its journey with the seventh generation! 🌟 Although trust is built over time, participants managed to create an authentic connection on the very first day through openness and sharing experiences! They offered unconditional support to one another, building an atmosphere full of mutual inspiration and encouragement. 🙌 During the group coaching program "Who am I today, and who am I potentially?", Jelena Vuletic, ACC carefully guided participants through the process of self-discovery, offering support to help them gain deeper insights into themselves and their potential. 🌼 We were delighted to welcome participants from previous generations, who shared their stories about how SBH has shaped their lives. A big thank you to our amazing Hub members: Vučić Filipović Kristina Lalatovic Kristina Babić Filip Jovetic A special thanks to our partners Alter Modus , CMM Investment Consulting Group, Coinis, Glosarij, Novi volvox, and the UCG Career Center, without whom the realization of this program would not be possible.

A TEST OF PATIENCE WITH IDEA-CLAIMERS❗ We all know them: the people who swoop in, take our ideas, and present them as their own. 🔶They adore to be in the spotlight, often jumping ahead to show something they didn't create but present as their own. It can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re the one who’s been working hard behind the scenes. 🔶But why do they do it? And more importantly, how can we deal with it? In many cases, those who claim credit for others’ ideas are driven by a need for validation and seek attention. And yes, at its core, these behaviors often stem from insecurities. 🔶As my dear Simon Sinek once said, “There are only two ways to influence human behavior: you can manipulate it, or you can inspire it.” 🔶Unfortunately, these individuals choose manipulation. In some working environments, the culture of constant tight deadlines, high visibility and competition often rewards those who are louder or more self-promoting. However, we all know that there are healthier and more productive ways to handle these situations. 🔶So, how to handle this. Here are a few tips: ✔️Document your contributions; Make it a habit to keep records of your work and ideas. Whether it's through emails, meeting notes, or shared documents, having a paper trail ensures there’s no question about where the ideas originated. This is especially helpful if the need arises to set the record straight later on. ✔️Be direct; Don’t hesitate to share your ideas directly in meetings or presentations. When you speak up confidently and contribute openly in front of others, it becomes harder for others to take the credit. Be direct about your role without being confrontational. Your clarity and visibility will help protect your work. ✔️Have allies; Cultivate relationships with colleagues who are aware of your efforts and contributions. When others recognize your hard work, they can act as a support system, speaking up if someone else tries to take the credit. Having people in your corner can make a big difference. ✔️Foster Open Communication; Sometimes, the person taking credit for your work may not even realize they’re doing it. In certain situations, it might be helpful to have a calm, private conversation with them. Express how you feel and highlight your contributions. Often, bringing the issue to their attention can prevent future occurrences. ✔️Choose Your Battles; Not every instance of someone taking credit deserves a confrontation. Sometimes it’s best to focus on the bigger picture and let minor instances go, especially if they don’t impact your overall reputation or success. Know when it’s worth addressing the issue and when to moveforward, keeping eyes on long-term goals. Balance2Business #leadership #coaching
