The ongoing Israel-Gaza war pushed its way to the COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

Youths in Dubai condemned Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people on the sidelines of the COP28.
On Thursday, November 30, 2023, the climate change campaigners held a press conference and a gathering, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza on the sideline of COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.
The call for a ceasefire in Gaza was reportedly demanded by a group of climate activists and the members of the Climate Justice Coalition on Thursday.
Videos from the UN Climate Summit that opened on November 30, 2023, in Dubai, have taken over the internet.
Several youths stood in solidarity with the people of Palestine calling for a permanent ceasefire. The group wore white shirts that spelled out “ceasefire” and chanted “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
The event was dominated by keffiyeh-wearing climate justice defenders mainly young people, urging a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.
The climate justice and human rights organizations also called for humanitarian aid in Gaza during the UN Climate Summit day 1 in Dubai.
The COP28 talks opened with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the COP27 president announcing a moment’s silence for all Gaza civilians who have suffered during the current unrest.
The event saw 19-year-old Dylan Hamilton, a policy coordinator for the Alliance of Non-Governmental Radical Youth from Scotland, and Feminist activist Rania Harrara calling for action.
