About us

meraki smile school, a non-profit organization registered in Spain and Madagascar, has opened its first school in Ambodiampanga Itaosy, a rural area marked by low life expectancy and low rates of school attendance in the south of Antananarivo, the capital of the African country. In 2021 the school enrolled, 30 students, 15 boys and 15 girls aged from five to six years old, and they attend classes in the premises rented and renewed by the NGO. In September 2022, 15 more students joined the school, At school, we follow an international curriculum where we incorporate two languages: English, and Malagasy, the national language in Madagascar. Additionally, they receive basic health care and a feeding program at the school. meraki is an interested school in the process of applying for International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidacy.

With 45 students enrolled, this year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the graduation of Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 cohorts. 💛 The joy, hope, and enthusiasm displayed by our students serve as a driving force propelling us toward even greater achievements. 🚀 Here's to many more successful years ahead!
