Ambalavao: Where the Spirits Reside, or So They Say… Nestled in the Ihorombe region, Ambalavao is much more than just a stop on Madagascar's National Route 7. This small local town offers a unique immersion into Malagasy culture and serves as the gateway to Andringitra National Park. 👉 A Spiritual and Mystical Center : Ambalavao is often considered the heart of Malagasy civilization.
