We’re often asked, "How do you make your animations?", “Is it AI?" Well, the short answer is… No, it’s not AI. The long answer is, we’re a small team with different backgrounds, we don’t have much… but what we do have are a very particular set of skills 😁. We're a mix of good animators, good designers and experienced filmmakers. (hence why we decided to create something special specifically for filmmakers) Every comic/animation begins with a relatable moment we might have experienced on set, that turns into an idea which morphs into a very rough script. Next, we sketch an animatic (basically this is like a storyboard that moves 🤯🤯🤯). At this point, it's not pretty, but it helps us visualize our ideas and check if the story’s on point. Here, we also play with some rudimentary sound design. Most of our animations aren’t dialogue-heavy, so getting the sound right is crucial for the timing. Here’s where we start refining that rough animatic into something more polished. We design characters, rig them up for animation, and create our backgrounds. Every piece of the scene is designed manually with lots of love and care (and sometimes with a bit of software crashes as well). Animation time! We animate, then review, animate, then review (and repeat this a lot—like, a lot). Once we've got a few hundreds of versions and one tired team, we huddle up (the ENTIRE massive team, scheduling miracles included 🙃), and tweak everything until it fits. By the time we hit 'upload,' we’re already plotting the next content piece. So, to answer the question: no, it’s definitely not AI. It’s just us, a super small team with decently big ideas!
