🌍 Malta has successfully benefitted from the 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 for two critical projects! 🚑 The 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 benefitted with over €800,000 in EU funds through the recruitment of specialised staff to: • Process authorisations based on UK marketing standards, ensuring the availability of essential medicines. • Manage the surge in European procedures previously handled by the UK, and • Identify alternative supply routes for medicines and manage Article 20 exemptions. 🚢 Backed by €3.4 million in EU funds, the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 strengthened its team to: • Handle the rise in customs declarations and inspections from third countries outside the EU, and to • Oversee increased traffic and process VAT refund claims. ♻️1,050kg of waste collected on #WorldCleanupDay🌍 On 20 September, Fondi.eu team took part in a beach cleanup event at White Tower Bay in Armier. The event saw over 60 volunteers from government entities, NGOs, and private companies collecting and sorting all illegally dumped materials on-site, ensuring recyclable items were properly processed to reduce waste going to landfills. This cleanup also supports the Marine Environmental Monitoring project, partially funded under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. The project improves marine knowledge and manages better Malta’s marine environment as part of the EU Integrated Maritime Policy.
