Engaging visit from ADI students highlights innovation at RT Knits RT Knits warmly welcomed Fashion students from the Academy of Design and Innovation for a half-day visit. We were thrilled to share our sustainable design and production practices with them. Our team of designers and technical members gave a short presentation on our design approach, featuring the influence of 3D modelling and artificial intelligence. The presentation covered various design approaches for creating value-added, eco-friendly garments, the role of AI in graphic design, and insights on automation and its significance in sustainable garment design. The importance of 3D modelling in transforming the development stage of garments was also highlighted. After the presentation, the students toured our production site, experiencing the garment manufacturing process – from cutting and sewing, to packing and finishing. This exchange gave students the chance to explore creativity, technology, and sustainability within the textile industry. We hope this experience inspires the next generation to pursue sustainable design. Thank you to all who participated in making it a success. Together, we can accelerate the transition towards sustainable clothing!

Exciting Milestone: RT Knits Leading the Way to Carbon Neutrality We are proud to announce a major achievement in our sustainability journey at RT Knits. In 2020, we became the first textile manufacturer in Mauritius—and the entire southern hemisphere—to commit to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Recognizing the urgency of climate action, we aligned our targets with the recommendations of the IPCC at COP 26 in 2021 and accelerated our net-zero goal to 2040. In 2022, our near-term plan for 2030 was successfully validated, marking a key step in our journey. Today, we are thrilled to share that our long-term plan for 2040 has also been approved by the SBTi. To offer some perspective: of the 514 companies in the textile, apparel, footwear, and luxury sectors that have committed to SBTi, only 72 have had their long-term plans validated. Out of these, only 20 companies globally have committed to the ambitious 2040 target recommended by the IPCC. And, remarkably, currently, RT Knits stands as the only vertically integrated textile and clothing manufacturer worldwide to have both short- and long-term carbon neutrality plans approved, with a firm commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. This milestone underscores our leadership in sustainable manufacturing and our dedication to accelerating the transition towards sustainable clothing. At RT Knits, we believe that sustainability is not just a goal—it’s our responsibility. Achieving carbon neutrality will require us to continue making significant investments, drive innovation, and foster collaboration across our supply chain. But we are committed, and we are confident that together, we can make a lasting, positive impact on both our industry and the environment. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued customers, partners, and stakeholders for their unwavering support. This achievement is a reflection of our collective vision and efforts to create a more sustainable world. Together, we are not just embracing the future—we are leading the way. #Sustainability #CarbonNeutral #RTKnits #NetZero #TextileInnovation #Leadership #COP26 #ClimateAction

🌍✨ #MissionVerte #Recyclage #PapierCarton #MauriceDurable #ÉconomieCirculaire #WeCycle #RTKnits #Lunanim 🌍♻️
