On March 26 and 27, 2025, representatives from the Renewable Energy Industries Association of Malawi (REIAMA) Board and Secretariat participated in a strategic planning workshop organized by the BSW – Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e.V.. The workshop aimed to enhance REIAMA's governance, communication, and financial foundations. The sessions provided valuable insights into improving REIAMA's governance structures and delivering services that significantly benefit its members. This activity is part of the Corporation project, which is being implemented in Malawi and Zambia with technical support from BSW – Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e.V. and funding from sequa gGmbH .

In a significant step towards fostering economic independence, REIAMA recently held an impactful Business Development and Financial Management training in Lilongwe. The initiative specifically targeted aspiring women entrepreneurs, including participants from the Mai Wala program, as well as motivated students and graduates from Lilongwe Technical College. Through this comprehensive training, participants gained practical skills in areas such as Business Development and Financial Management, equipping them with the tools needed to launch and grow sustainable ventures. This investment in women and youth is central to REIAMA's mission of cultivating a vibrant culture of entrepreneurship and long-term self-sufficiency within Malawian communities.
