Cada año “La Catrina” sale elegante para lucirse en las festividades mexicanas dedicadas a la muerte, pero no todos conocen que su nombre original es “La Calavera Garbancera”, creada por José Guadalupe Posada. Fue en 1947 cuando Diego Rivera la convirtió en “La Catrina” en su mural “Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda Central”, donde aparece tomada del brazo de Posada. Es incuestionable la autoría de José Guadalupe Posada, sin embargo, hoy en día la obra pertenece al #DominioPúblico.
