I am proud to announce the 2024 Mexico Early Stage 100. Over the last few months I worked closely with the founders at Mexico Tech Week including Bernardo Cordero, Victor Noguera, Archie Cochrane, and Mack Meyer from Venture Capital Mx. Our goal is to celebrate the work of Mexican startup entrepreneurs and highlight the excellence of these companies. We also want to make it easier for LatAm, US, and other global investors to learn about the top early stage companies in Mexico so they find great companies to back at pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, and beyond. Mexico plays a pivotal role in LatAm tech.  With massive problems to solve in huge markets (e.g., financial services, healthcare), trends like near shoring, and with a critical mass of tech and startup talent, I am convinced we will see a generation of great companies built in Mexico. To date, I have backed over 15 companies across Mexico in cities like Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara. From my first angel investment in 99minutos.com (Alexis Patjane) in 2020 to my most recent Seals AI (Luis Mario Garcia) just 1 month ago,  I am deeply committed to supporting founders in Mexico and am happy to share their work with the world. Empowering Growth and Innovation in Guatemala’s Construction Industry with Progreso X 🇬🇹⚡️ It’s incredibly rewarding to see leading companies like Progreso X achieving even greater #success by prioritizing care for others. I’m excited to share that after a successful pilot year—during which Progreso allowed two companies to use our tool and have amazing results—we're now heading to new projects and opportunities together. Reflecting on this journey, I recall when Formwork Labs recognized Buildpeer as one of their selected startups in the first cohort back in 2022. This acknowledgment took us to Chicago, to one of BuiltWorlds conferences. Ernesto Gonzalez Fernandez and I had the pleasure of meeting Gabriela Rodas Urruela & Christopher Schlosser part of team of Progreso. As the only #LatinAmericans in the room, we connected instantly, and it been constant communication ever since, paving the way for this initiative. Our largest live demo ever— more than 400 on-site attendees and 500 via livestream ⚡️🚀 This past Saturday, Buildpeer sponsored the Developer Workshop led by Gustavo Marcos. This prestigious construction event was designed to showcase how Gus has developed 550,000 m² of construction in 2024, 1.5 million m² currently under construction, and $20 billion in projected sales. It was truly significant for us to witness the impact of his work, especially as we’ve recently integrated #Buildpeer into his team’s processes for managing projects at GRUPO DAGS S.A de C.V. During the event, Luis Martin Diaz our Head of Sales gave a live demonstration of #Buildpeer to the largest audience ever, with nearly 1,000 attendees who expressed tremendous interest in our tool. Congratulations to the entire team at Real Start for organizing such a comprehensive event that enriches the industry. 🫱🏼🫲🏽 The right solution for the right market: Thank you, Axioma Inteligencia Inmobiliaria, for choosing Buildpeer to sponsor your latest workshop, "23 Tools for Managing Construction Projects." This two-day, 14-hour workshop was designed to teach attendees the #AxiomaMethodology. The event started asking participants about their expectations, which was exactly what I wanted… to listen to their specific needs. I wanted to fully understand the various needs they were looking for and it was great being able to hear from 50 developers across Mexico. Congratulations to Antonio Villarreal Saldaña and the entire Axioma Inteligencia Inmobiliaria team for hosting an outstanding event! Throughout the workshop, around 23 different topics were covered, detailing how Axioma approaches construction. As a leading construction firm in Monterrey, their insights are invaluable. The knowledge was shared by an exceptional panel of speakers with experience in over 150 construction projects. To be the best, you need to learn from the best, and high-quality networking events like this one are key to unlocking new business opportunities and fostering growth. The construction industry, despite its historically strict standards, requires an open mind. Being prepared for both challenges and successes while making informed decisions is crucial for project success. A concern I highlighted in my previous post, which was mentioned during this event, is that in Latin America, the construction industry lags in technology adoption. One main reason is that some may perceive these solutions as expensive to adopt. But you need to see the big picture, over the medium to long term, the savings from errors far outweigh the costs of these softwares and the time management it’s incredibly noticeable. Time is the most valuable asset in a construction project and Buildpeer is here to help you reclaim it. To wrap up the event, we participated in a team-building exercise where we constructed a bridge out of Legos. My team won first place, and when asked about our strategy, we attributed our success to thorough planning, task assignment, coordination, smooth execution, and of course, we used #Buildpeer 😌. I also want to highlight how inspiring it is to see an increasing number of younger generations attending these events. Observing future leaders actively seeking ways and tools to enhance their efficiency reassures me that the industry is in excellent hands for the future. 🏗️🚀
