  • Mexico Sets Record High of $36.87 Billion in Foreign Direct Investment in 2024 🎯 The manufacturing sector attracted 54% of the total FDI, with transportation equipment leading at 50%, followed by beverages and tobacco, computer equipment, chemicals, and basic metals. Geographically, Mexico City received the most investment ($14.43 billion, 39% of the total), followed by the State of Mexico (7%), Baja California (7%), Nuevo León (6%), and Chihuahua (4%). The top 10 states accounted for 79% of total FDI. 💵 This record reinforces Mexico’s role as a global manufacturing and export hub, driven by nearshoring trends. However, challenges like infrastructure, security, and legal certainty remain critical for sustaining and increasing FDI flows in the coming years. 📈 Source: https://lnkd.in/gvCKxA5B
