From 2018 to 2023, 10% of incoming CEOs across the S&P 500 and Russell 3000 came from the board. While still considered an outlier on the best of days, this is something that should be backed more often. Board members are aware of culture, of history, of strategy; but, at the end of the day, they are just enough of an outsider that they can bring new ideas to the table without much push back. However, there will always be a degree of hesitance around new leadership. It will be a precarious balancing act for the first couple of months as things settle down, but after that, it should be relatively smooth sailing! #SuccessionPlanning #CSuite #BusinessGrowth

As we approach 2025, executive recruiting continues to evolve, and the strategies companies use to attract and retain top leadership talent are rapidly changing. According to this insightful article from Robert Half, here are 3 key trends that will shape how organizations hire senior leaders in the coming year: -Emphasis on Soft Skills: In today’s dynamic workplace, leaders need to excel not just technically but also in communication, empathy, and adaptability. -Hybrid Leadership Roles: With hybrid work models becoming the new norm, the ability to manage both in-office and remote teams will be a critical leadership skill. -Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): More than ever, companies are prioritizing leaders who champion DEI initiatives and foster an inclusive culture within their teams. At Intercontinental Executive Search, we are witnessing firsthand how these trends are influencing the executive talent market. As organizations increasingly prioritize leaders with strong soft skills, hybrid work capabilities, and a commitment to DEI, it's more crucial than ever to have a strategy for securing the right leadership talent. On October 24, 1945, the world came together to create the United Nations. In such a time of turbulence and destruction, people of different countries, cultures, and backgrounds were able to put their differences aside and protect each other. Throughout the years, despite some setbacks, this continues to remain true. Today, as well as every day before and after, we strive for peace along with the UN, helping our neighbors, friends, and family. Please keep in mind this symbol of hope that protects us today and wish them thanks for everything they've done! #DisasterRelief #FutureOfWork #Community #Healthcare

According to recent LIMRA research, more than two-thirds of workplace benefit carriers spent more on digital initiatives in 2023 than they did the previous year, and three-quarters of carriers are expecting their overall level of digital investment to increase over the next three years. But simply increasing the number of technology in your business make-up isn't enough to make your employees happy. People need technology that will actually make their jobs easier, supporting them in their day to day tasks and projects. #Benefits #EmployeeEngagement #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation https://lnkd.in/dmNeDXja

Half of employees are actively seeking a new job or eyeing job boards, according to a recent Gallup report, the highest number since 2015. And the amount of workers looking for a job in a one-month period rose to 28% in July, Axios reported, up 10% year over year. Engagement continues to be at an all time low, forcing companies to reevaluate their benefits, programs, and more if they want to keep their employees for the long run. It's not just about the money anymore. People want a job that fits with their quality of life, one that's supportive and calm. #Engagement #Productivity #FutureOfWork #HR

According to the World Bank, 712 million people live in extreme #poverty, defined as surviving on less than $2.15 per day. To eradicate poverty, we'll all have to come together and aim to create opportunities for those less fortunate. #FutureOfWork #Economics

Is Boss's day a holiday to be frowned upon? I don't think so. We often tell managers and leaders to be humble, and they should be. We tell them that they shouldn't expect much praise for what they accomplish – and they shouldn't. But a leader is human and a good boss, no matter the scenario, deserves a thank you every now and then! Motivation goes a long way, after all. So, to all the Boss’ going out of their way for their teams, you're doing a great job! Just keep your head held high and make sure you take some time for yourself every now and then! #Boss'sDay #Leadership

Despite the controversy surrounding the holiday, #ColumbusDay is a moment in our history that urges us to reflect on our past and the influence his landing had on our society today. #Leadership
