What does Leadec have in common with NASA or Lidl? The answer is simple - the projects are all about data, or rather data sharing. Under the motto “How business grows when data is shared”, representatives from business, science and technology met at the KPMG CDO Summit on September 11, 2024. The event was organized by KPMG and took place at the Bildungscampus of the Dieter Schwarz foundation in Heilbronn. To develop digital solutions for customers that are created through data sharing, Leadec has been working together with the Ferdinand-Steinbeis-Institute since 2017. We shared our experiences in the presentation on “Cross-industry cooperation for innovative & digital business models”. Using the example of the cooperation with Liebherr and Sick, Leadec showed what opportunities arise when digital business models are developed together with different partners. First solutions such as pay-per-part, pay-per-load and a model for scaling ecosystems have been developed. Our learnings: “It's not only about collecting, optimizing and scaling data. Trust and having the right partner at your side are just as important,” said Alexander Bonk, Senior Vice President Operations Germany. “We have acquired expertise and know how to create added value for our customers through data sharing. Now we are ready for the next step, entering the market as a smart service provider,” said Markus Hucko, COO of Leadec. #data #cooperation #ecosystem

The Leadec France team celebrates the 1st anniversary of its activities, which started with the launch of the Scania Production Angers contract.   The 70-strong team is responsible for empties management at the plant and operates a packaging handling center for the customer in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou.   There were more reasons for celebration: Leadec now also operates the shuttles between the Scania plant and our logistics center, supported by our new partner JOLIVAL. Transportation between the two sites is done with biogas trucks to reduce the carbon footprint. By 2025, it will be done with electric trucks.   This is another example of how we support our customers in their development and efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. The electrification of the shuttles also demonstrates our determination to stay at the forefront of technology to make today's factory fit for the future.   #logistics #factory #france

Our Leadec team has laced up its running shoes again and started yesterday evening at the B2Run company run in Stuttgart. 34 sports-loving colleagues from various departments – from purchasing, IT, management to HR – finished the 5km course through the Neckarpark and along the Mercedes-Benz Museum successfully. The highlight was the finish line in the MHPArena 👟💪 In total, more than 5,000 athletes from 281 companies took part, making the event one of the largest and most popular company runs in the region.
