Here’s a snapshot of these key trends: 🚗 Consumer choices are shifting dramatically, with 20% of people planning to switch to alternative mobility solutions within the next decade. - Currently, 40% of consumers are embracing multiple mobility and eco-friendly options - and 62% of them are changing their transportation habits for sustainability. 🔋New vehicle preferences are also emerging. Despite facing some challenges, the enthusiasm for electric vehicles (EVs) remains strong. - 42% of consumers are considering EVs for their next car. - 69% desire more digital connectivity services. - 34% seek Level 4 (L4) autonomous assistance in future vehicles. 🛴 Micromobility options like e-scooters, bikes, and mopeds are solidifying their presence. - The global micromobility market is anticipated to hit $360B by 2030. - Europe dominates with 40% of the market share. - LATAM contributes 3% to market value. We're very excited to share that FreightTech startup Cargado has secured a $6.8 million seed round that will be used to expand its team and enhance the company’s product. The fundraising round was led by Primary Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors including Ironspring Ventures, Zenda Capital, Wischoff Ventures, and ourselves, as well as new investor RyderVentures. With the exponential rise of nearshoring, the US-Mexico cross-border market has increasingly demanded technological tools to alleviate supply chain challenges. Cargado is on a mission to streamline logistics by developing technology that enables operators to perform their jobs more effectively, increase their earnings, expand their businesses, and enhance overall efficiency and success. We're immensely proud to support Matt Silver and the Cargado team in their journey reshaping mobility. 2023 was a challenging year in the mobility sector 👇 ⭕ AV testing encountered hurdles fueled by skepticism. ⭕ Certain regions experienced setbacks in EV sales. ⭕ Numerous concerns arose regarding the battery range of electric vehicles. Despite these challenges, interest in electric vehicles remained strong, and we witnessed interesting developments in micro-mobility and self-driving vehicles. As a result, we saw a significant increase in mobility investments towards the end of the year and the beginning of 2024.
