Gran experiencia asistir al #IFEconference 2025. Fuimos testigos de lo último en tecnologías y tendencias educativas. Más de 4000 participantes de 30 países compartiendo y aprendiendo con un gran espíritu de colaboración. Presentamos un paper de investigación en educación sobre estrés en evaluaciones orales presenciales y asíncronas en video, trabajo realizado con Edna Lisdeth Viveros Nava Nicolás Amado Moranchel Elizabeth Mena Aviles Juan Pablo Treviño Gutiérrez Gerardo Rocha Feregrino Yamil Burguete. También presenté una innovación educativa en el AI Summit, sobre el uso de IA en el aprendizaje de cálculo integral. Además, la Dra. Debbie Hernandez presentó un paper de investigación donde tuve el honor de participar sobre el uso de una sombra digital de ALGETEC, aplicado a control. Enriquecedor e inspirador. Ha sido una jornada increíble de aprendizaje, intercambio de ideas y fortalecimiento de redes académicas. ✨ Culminamos con éxito el Taller de Métodos de Investigación y Publicación en Educación ✨ Este evento, organizado por el Ecosistema de Innovación e Investigación de Mentoría Estudiantil (EIIME) con el valioso apoyo del Writing Lab of the Institute for the Future of Education, representa un hito significativo para el Departamento de Mentoría y Bienestar del Tecnológico de Monterrey, al ser la primera vez que se lleva a cabo un taller de este tipo. Para mí, es un verdadero honor formar parte de este Ecosistema, un espacio que no solo fomenta el aprendizaje colectivo, sino que también me ha permitido avanzar en un aspecto fundamental de mi propósito de vida: la investigación como herramienta para la transformación educativa. Our collaborative research article, “Machine and Deep Learning Algorithms for Sentiment Analysis During COVID-19: A Vision to Create a Fake News Resistant Society”, has been published after a year-long rigorous review process in the journal PLoS One (Q1, IF-2.9). This study bridges AI and Education, focusing on how advanced machine and deep learning techniques can combat misinformation and to advance critical thinking and media literacy. The research uses models like BiGRU, achieving high accuracy in detecting fake news, showcasing its potential for building a society resilient to misinformation. We are grateful to the four peer reviewers per round who rigorously evaluated our work across four review cycles. Special thanks to the journal for their transparent open peer-review process, allowing us to grow academically and improve the quality of our research. Also thanks to my esteemed co-authors—Muhammad Tayyab Zamir, Fida Ullah, Waqas Haider Bangyal, Muhammad Arif, and Alexander Gelbukh—for their collaboration and insightful contributions throughout this journey. Special thanks to Writing Lab of the Institute for the Future of Education for the administrative and financial support. ICERI2024 SEVILLE SPAIN 17th International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation held in Seville, Spain, 11th - 13th November 2024 🌟 I'm thrilled to share my participation in the ICERI2024 Conference held in Seville, Spain, from November 11-13, 2024! 🎉 It was an incredible privilege to present two papers during the event: 1️⃣ INTEGRATING COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE AND CREATIVITY TECHNIQUES FOR SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY INNOVATION IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION Co-authored with M. Lule, M.G. Muñiz, A. Escoto, and B. Murrieta, this paper explored how students can apply key competitive intelligence tools like Porter's Five Forces, SWOT analysis, BCG Matrix, Business Model Canvas, and PESTEL analysis to assess a company's current situation. We also discussed the use of creativity and innovation techniques such as SCAMPER, Innovation Tactics Cards (Doblin), and Six Thinking Hats to propose innovative, sustainable solutions. By analyzing technological trends with tools like the S-Curve and Hype Cycle, students helped move companies from a "Red Ocean" to a "Blue Ocean" strategy, fostering competitiveness and sustainability. The Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) played a key role in guiding our structured problem-solving approach. 2️⃣ BLENDING DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES FOR EFFECTIVE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING LEARNING Co-authored with M. Lule, B. Murrieta, and J.C. Espinoza, this paper focused on the innovative design of the Cyber-Physical Systems Design course. In this course, students work on transforming traditional workstations into Workstations 4.0, integrating Industry 4.0 elements to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency, while also emphasizing ethics and sustainability. We identified four key learning scenarios that enhance competency acquisition for future industrial engineers. It was an inspiring experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share ideas with such passionate professionals and educators.
