𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮! Mental Health Day is to prioritize our mental well-being and break the stigma surrounding mental health. We empower ourselves and others to support one another and create a space for our employees where mental wellness is valued as much as physical health. Here’s the recap of our Mental Health Day held on the 9th of Oct 2024. We dedicated a day to prioritizing mental health, and it was definitely a success! Our employees participated in a variety of activities on physical and mental health designed to promote well-being, resilience and understanding. From Body Composite Analysis by 𝗕𝗣 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲, Basic Health Screening by 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, Importance of Medical Insurance by 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘇, Mental Health Screening and 1:1 counselling session by 𝗘𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗶𝗮 to Sharing & Shedding Light on overall wellbeing with consultations, promotional packages and wellbeing talks. ABeamers had the opportunity to pause, reflect , unwind and recharge. The day was filled with interactive sessions, giveaways, and refreshments, fostering a warm and engaging atmosphere. The event was officiated by our 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗥, 𝗚𝗔, 𝗠𝗜𝗦, Meena Muthu together with 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗝 which supports this year’s World Mental Health Day theme: “𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.”   Dr. Gayathri's powerful opening speech on "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴" resonated deeply with our members, emphasizing the strong connection between physical and mental health.  Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) partner, 𝗘𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗛𝘂𝗯, 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗲-𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 and 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗺 & 𝗞𝗮𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝘆, shared insights on the mental- health journey with ABeam Malaysia and delivered a thought-provoking session on “𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀: 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀” which aimed to raise awareness on the key elements of mental health challenges that often go unnoticed and how best to address them.
