You don’t need a big team to be successful. 🚀 Here's proof: 1) Instagram had 13 employees when Meta acquired them for $𝟏 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 2) WhatsApp had 50 employees when Meta acquired them for $𝟏𝟗 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 3) Minecraft had 40 employees when Microsoft acquired them for $𝟐.𝟓 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 4) YouTube had 65 employees when Google acquired them for $𝟏.𝟔𝟓 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 5) Oculus VR had 75 employees when Meta acquired them for $𝟐 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 6) Waze had 100 employees when Google acquired them for $𝟏.𝟏 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. 7) Twitch was acquired by Amazon for $𝟗𝟕𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 with 100 employees. 8) Clubhouse reached a $𝟒 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 valuation with fewer than 20 employees. 9) Shazam had 250 employees when Apple acquired them for $𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧. KFC got sick of copycat brands and THIS is how they responded 😆 When you're as big as KFC, it's hard to stop brands copying you. You can work your legal team into the ground or, you can assign the task to your creative team. Creativity is ALL about problem solving. In this case, turning the focus away from the copycats and towards the consumers: 'how do tell our consumers that KFC is THE legacy fried chicken restaurant of choice?' And then... a masterpiece. Bravo, KFC.

This is brilliant! Every VC back in 2020/2021 market hype 👇😂 "If you show revenue, people will ask how much and it will never be enough. But if you have no revenue, you can say you're pre-revenue. You're a potential pure play". Unfortunately, we're seeing the exact same thing with AI startups right now. Investors are pumping billions into anything that has AI in it.
