Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission (MCMC) | Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) - PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON NEW COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT FRAMEWORK Do submit your views and comments. The proposed new framework of communications equipment (NCEF) deals with, amongst others, the registration, labelling, importation and post-market surveillance of communications equipment. Equipment for sales may be registered by way of Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) under Scheme A, B and C while equipment for applicant's non-commercial or for trial, experiment, research or demonstration may be registered via Special Approval. In addition, there are also provisions for exempted and prohibited equipment. The proposed NCEF aims to create a more competitive business ecosystem while enhancing the regulatory oversight over the supply of communications equipment in the market. It is benchmarked against the regional and international best practices.
