🌏 World Quality Week! 🌏 Here’s Ian’s perspective on the importance of quality and compliance at Flowcrete and Tremco CPG UK ‘I’m Ian Perkins and I work as a Specification Manager and deal with technical enquiries via the Technical Help Desk. This involves providing technical advice and providing written specifications for screeds and resin floor finishes to architects, specifiers, installers and within the CPG group. The quality of service and the accuracy of the advice we provide is paramount in ensuring that suitable and correct products are used in the differing applications. Incorrect advice or the wrong specification can result in major problems on site or result in failures of the products in use. I first started with Flowcrete back in 1997 and during my time with the company I also maintained the company’s ISO 9001 certification. Therefore I have a good overall knowledge of the importance of quality within the company. Celebrating #WorldQualityWeek with Lauren B. from the #FlowcreteTeam. ‘I currently work as one of the Regional Specifications Managers for Flowcrete, now housed within Tremco CPG UK My main role is to assist with guidance, advice and support to Specifiers, primarily dealing with Architects and design teams. Once project information has been reviewed, I look to solidify and write specifications that are in line with the client requirements. We also assist direct with Installers and other Stakeholders within the construction process. The specification team provide the highest quality advice and solutions tailored to meet the individual requirements of the project or client. I was Logistics and Production Manager for a number of years before moving into a technical role. For the past 2 years I have been the Area Sales Manager for the North West and Midlands.
