Another ICCA France Benelux Chapter Meeting is in the books! Focusing on (Un)Conventional Thinking, members gathered in Eindhoven, a city known for its transformation from an industrial powerhouse to a cutting-edge innovation hub, the meeting explored how creativity, technology, and community can redefine the way we meet, connect, and grow. Discussions centred around embracing the unconventional—challenging norms, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in the meetings industry. Some key themes included: ✅ Reinventing event design with gamification & tech ✅ Mental well-being & human-centered meetings ✅ Skift’s Megatrends shaping the future of events ✅ Exploring Eindhoven – a city of transformation ✅ Networking, insights, and gaining fresh perspectives 72 participants gathered to challenge the status quo and learn to push boundaries. It was an energising event filled with connection and building relationships as we move into the next phase of 2025. On March 11, ICCA’s Sector Venues hosted their first webinar of the year, tackling the topic: "Diversifying Income is Crucial for the Growth of Venues." With 65+ participants from all regions and two sessions to accommodate different time zones, the webinar brought together industry leaders to discuss how congress venues are evolving beyond business events. From cultural activities and film shoots to immersive experiences and warehouse sales, venues are becoming integral parts of their cities. The discussions highlighted that in an ever-changing world, venues must diversify to remain economically viable and sustainable. Meeting in #Oslo, 98 attendees — including 28 first-timers — gathered for insightful sessions on collaboration, innovation, and leveraging intellectual capital in the meetings industry. 🌟 Key takeaways included the importance of storytelling and advocacy to communicate the value of international meetings and events, strategies for measuring and enhancing the social impact of the meetings industry, and the significance of sustainability and creative meeting design. ✅ Attendees strategised ways to strengthen the role of the Nordic region in the global meetings industry.
