It is made using materials such as rice powder, chalk powder, flower petals and coloured sand.    Diwali wouldn’t be complete without the beautiful tradition of Rangoli. Debbie Loo’s journey with KIAN has been nothing short of exceptional, marked by her dedication and ability to thrive in uncertainty. Since joining KIAN in 1989, Debbie has played a significant role in establishing various departments and building robust structures to support the ecosystem’s evolving needs. As KIAN’s Head of Culture & L&D, she has established Lynch Pin as KIAN’s shared services arm, focusing on training and consultation to create "Better Leaders, Better Culture & Better Business." Her deep understanding of the "whys" behind challenges, coupled with her Authentic Relationship values, has earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Known for her humility and warmth, Debbie is a beloved mother figure in the KIAN Tribe, embodying her belief that culture reflects leadership. KIAN's journey has been significantly shaped by the visionary partnership with Mr. Liang Tjun Siang, our spiritual leader, who first joined us as a customer, selling a container of 'Siri' chairs. At the age of 65, Mr. Liang approached James with a proposal to collaborate and set up a manufacturing facility in Dali, Foshan, China, which became KIAN Design Manufacturing (KDM) in 2005. His relentless pursuit of the dream to manufacture polypropylene chairs marked the beginning of a fruitful relationship, and the day they injected their first polypropylene chair, his joy was palpable. As a prolific traveler, Mr. Liang has brought back best practices and cultural insights from world-class manufacturing companies, helping KIAN uphold its promise of delivering high-quality furniture on time. His commitment to continuous improvement is evident in the Kianzen sessions he conducts with his management team twice a week, as well as his daily factory rounds to ensure the implementation of enhancements. Mr. Liang's visionary investments, from building a world-class testing lab to expanding into timber chair manufacturing, propelled KIAN's growth and diversification to what it is today. #KIANFurniture #40thAnniversary #HonourRoll

Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Ng Chiang Lay, affectionately known as Ms. Ng, for her invaluable contributions to KIAN over the years. Starting in 1990 with credit control at KIAN Sdn Bhd, she moved to KIAN Holdings and KIAN Export, mastering trade exchange rates. After her second son’s birth, she shifted to administration, becoming Group Admin Manager in 1997. In 2015, she became the first staff member of Lynch Pin, excelling in event management, budget negotiations, and creating detailed SOPs to streamline office operations. One of her proudest moments was crafting an SOP that meticulously documented everything from air conditioner schedules to repair contacts, ensuring smooth operations for the entire company. Her bubbly, detail-oriented, and considerate nature shines through in all she does. Ms. Ng lovingly calls Lynch Pin her "baby" and is proactively dedicated to its continued growth and success. Since joining KIAN Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd on March 23rd, 1997, as Finance Manager, Zahri bin Abdullah—affectionately known as Uncle Zahri—has played a crucial role in finance and corporate matters across the group, with a special focus on KIAN Export. From 1999 to 2002, he took on a larger responsibility when KIAN set up KIAN KL Sdn Bhd, venturing into wholesale. In 2003, he moved back to KIAN Export, and from 2015 onward, he has worked part-time under the Chairman of the Executive Board, handling special tasks and consulting for the group. Zahri sees KIAN as a house of opportunities, driven by SPARK values that help individuals grow while making a positive impact on every KIAN Warrior's life. Through ups and downs, the company has become stronger, continuously improving its processes, strategy, and people development. Zahri’s proudest moment was during the economic boom of 1997–1998, when KIAN recorded excellent sales and export performance. Known for his friendliness in cultivating Authentic Relationships with fellow Warriors and his down-to-earth nature, Zahri remains a guiding force for KIAN. #KIANFurniture #40thAnniversary #HonourRoll
