The 3rd Swappable Battery System (SBS) Consortium meeting took place on 6th November 2024, proudly hosted by Blueshark Malaysia. A major milestone was achieved with the establishment of Malaysia’s first voluntary SBS Standards, covering battery dimensions, voltage, weight, socket/plug characteristics, and IoT/Dataframe integration. These standards not only pave the way for a robust EV and battery-swapping industry in Malaysia but also reinforce our commitment to localisation. Moving forward, these guidelines will be key in implementing MS Standard DMS 2726 - Battery Swapping Part 3. Malaysia hosted the 7th EU-Asia Dialogue on Nanosafety 2024 and the 21st Asia Nano Forum Summit (ANFoS) 2024 at Bangi Resort Hotel, Selangor, Malaysia from 9 to 10 October 2024. Organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) through the National Nanotechnology Centre (NNC) and NanoMalaysia Berhad, the event was held in collaboration with the Asia Nano Forum (ANF). The ANF Summit on 10 October 2024 included the ANF Summit Meetings and the ANF Annual General Meeting 2024, with participation from the ANF Executive Committee members. Malaysia, as one of the founding members of the ANF, is represented by Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad, CEO of NanoMalaysia Berhad, who currently serves as the president of ANF.
