  • #Throwback to Malaysia’s Cashless Journey, The Role of SET in PayNet’s Journey 🇲🇾 An article in October 1999 reflected views from MEPS’ Research and Development (R&D) Assistant General Manager, En. Zaini Md Jana pointed out the crucial need to shift towards internet banking. MEPS (now #PayNet) made a pivotal move towards internet banking by introducing the Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) system. This marked a significant step in creating a #cashless society, aligning with global trends while enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction. SET laid the foundation for electronic transactions that we rely on today. Can you even imagine a day without #DuitNow or #FPX now? 😱 Whether it’s 1999 or 2024, security remains at the forefront of #PayNet journey. With the advent of National Fraud Portal #NFP, PayNet is commited in safeguarding online transactions and minimising online scams with the advent of National Fraud Portal. 🔒 Join us every #ThrowbackFriYay as we share more milestones that define Malaysia’s cashless journey. Together, let’s drive a better growth and innovation towards a cashless nation. #CashlessJe #DigitalMalaysia

Last Friday, we officially handed over a dialysis machine to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) at Pusat Dialisis NKF – Rotary Damansara, led by our Director of Branding and Communications, Razaleigh Zainal, along with representatives from PayNet.   This was made possible thanks to our internal team, who managed to raise funds through our ESG initiatives by recycling and selling our old devices.   Dialysis treatment can cost over RM300 per session, and patients require at least three treatments per week, which can be financially overwhelming, especially for those from B40 and low-income families. We hope that our contribution can at least ease the burden for the 90 beneficiaries at the center.   We also aim to raise more awareness among our staff in the future through collaborations with NKF as part of our wellness programs. Let's continue to make a positive impact while also taking care of our health.❤️ MEER KHAN ANWAR ALI Siti Nor Ain Zanowi #PayNet #GivingBack #NationalKidneyFoundation #ESG

#Throwback to #MEPSCASH in 1999 – A Journey of #JiwaMerdeka 🇲🇾 Ever wondered how #Malaysia started its journey toward a cashless society? 🤔💡 In the spirit of our 67th #Merdeka celebrations and as we approach #MalaysiaDay, we’re excited to launch #ThrowbackFriYay, a new initiative where we look back at key moments that shaped our nation’s #cashless landscape. Every Friday, we’ll highlight milestones that contributed to Malaysia’s digital payment evolution. To kick things off, does anyone remember reloading their cards way back in 1999? Let’s take a walk down memory lane. 💭 1️⃣ September 1999 – The birth of #MEPSCASH: Malaysia's first reloadable card, launched by MEPS (now #PayNet). Within just two weeks, RM210,000 was reloaded, showing how eager #Malaysians were to embrace #CashlessPayments. 📲 2️⃣ Today – We’ve evolved with #MyDebit, delivering an easy, safe, and convenient cashless payment experience. This isn’t just about technology but also a reflection of Malaysia’s growth in #DigitalLiteracy and our push to stand tall on the global stage among other international powerhouses. 🌎 Join us every #ThrowbackFriYay as we share more milestones that define Malaysia’s cashless journey. Let's keep pushing for innovation and shared prosperity for all Malaysians. Together, we can proudly uphold the spirit of #JalurGemilang and build a legacy for future generations.🇲🇾❤️ #HariMalaysia #CashlessJe #DigitalMalaysia

Knowing that every decision we make is impacting millions of lives is rewarding when we know our purpose. Through every collective effort and collaboration, PayNet strives to improve livelihood and increase shared prosperity for all Malaysians. And we wouldn’t be able to do that if it weren’t for our engrained values that unite us all through “Jiwa Merdeka”.   At PayNet, we embody that every day - a freedom to innovate and create progress for Malaysia, one payment at a time. Let’s appreciate and celebrate our “Jiwa Merdeka”, lifting the spirit of Jalur Gemilang high in our hearts and hands, continuously creating a Warisan that we’re proud to leave behind, and for future generations to build on.   Watch our video and experience the journey we’ve embarked together.   Malaysia, we’re proud to call you home. 🇲🇾   #PayNet #Merdeka67 #CeritaKami
