Schmidt Abrasive Blasting KSA held its first ASSET training class in their manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with Bill Nelson, our VP of Abrasive Blasting Technology from our Texas factory, leading the course. This was an opportunity to showcase our product range, which is relatively new to the Saudi market. The class covered our product's safety features and superior abrasive metering valves, which are unmatched in the abrasive blasting industry. Our equipment can significantly reduce the amount of abrasive used in blasting operations, increase equipment efficiency, and boost operator productivity. This in turn has an impressive impact on the carbon footprint.
The best equipment only gives you the best results if the operators are taught the correct blasting method and are assisted in developing a more modern approach towards blasting. As part of the class, we gave live demonstrations on our 200L blast pots, Mini BRS, AmphiBlast, and Air Preparation Units.
The class concluded with very successful trials using our equipment vs. competitors' equipment, where we were able to show a 50%+ reduction in abrasive usage from a 200l blast pot system. We demonstrated how our Mini BRS is superior to other pipe weld joint preparation products. Particularly when you need abrasive recirculation and dust suppression and how our AmphiBlast gives superior dust suppression when used in populated regions or closed environments without having to cover the work area in tarps.
