Creating impact, one kilogram at a time 🌍 🥳 We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our e-waste event, in collaboration with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU / APIIT) and our e-waste recycling partner, TM Recycle IT Sdn. Bhd. We have collectively gathered an impressive 89.35 kg of e-waste, preventing these materials from ending up in landfills and guaranteeing their safe and responsible recycling. ♻️ The significance of properly disposing of E-waste, also known as electronic waste is immense. Substances such as lead and mercury are frequently found in e-waste, which includes outdated gadgets like computers and phones. These materials can damage ecosystems and human health if disposed improperly because they can seep into soil and water. Hence proper recycling reduces the need for new resources by enabling the reuse of valuable commodities like copper and gold. 🤝 With 140 students taking part, this program has been a great way to raise awareness about managing e-waste responsibly. Every participation was essential in emphasizing the fact that e-waste is a substantial component of the sustainability puzzle. 💚 To everyone who helped make this event possible, we sincerely thank you. Your efforts have a long-lasting effect on everyone you have influenced along the way, as well as on our environment. Cheers to our dedicated HR team members, Namira Amin and Faridah Hana Abd Hamid, for initiating and facilitating this impactful collaboration. A big shout out to Ma'wa Aziz & NUR AZLIYANA ABD KADIR for their leadership and guidance that helped their students conclude a successful initiative.
