Thanks for putting the spotlight on our work in Beira Partners for Water! As Empowa our approach is to partner with local affordable housing developers like Casa Real. Families that typically do not qualify for mortgages can qualify to rent-to-own their home through this set-up. Our financial technology enables the developer to offer each tenant family-specific rental pricing and the ability to make equity pre-payments toward eventual homeownership. Want to know more? Our latest article, the first in a series of three, showcases the Maraza Residential Zone project. With support from Partners for Water and the Netherlands Embassy, this initiative plans to build 25,000 resilient, affordable green homes. This project is crucial for addressing urgent housing needs, promoting sustainability, and fostering local community growth. As I have always said, the most difficult thing is to step on the property ladder #CasaReal creates the opportunity to step on this 🪜
