Cornelder CodeLabs Exceeds Expectations and Inspires the Future ⭐ From October 28th to November 1st, Cornelder de Moçambique held the second edition of Cornelder CodeLabs in the city of Beira. This event aims to promote the talent, creativity and innovation of young programmers. This year’s event took place exclusively in the capital of Sofala, reaffirming the company’s commitment to local potential. Over five intensive days, 35 young finalists and recent graduates, divided into six teams, exceeded all expectations by creating practical and technologically aligned solutions for everyday business needs. “We have identified significant talent potential in the central region of the country,” said Jan de Vries, Executive Managing Director of CdM, celebrating Beira as the exclusive venue for the 2024 edition. Among the solutions presented, the winning group successfully designed a system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor crane productivity on ships and trucks being loaded, via CCTV cameras. The winning team, comprising young talents Sulehima Abdula, Zaqueu António, Daniel José Anderone, Gelson Gilberto Matavela, Eduardo da Silva, and Gaspar Cossa, was awarded 150,000 meticais. The second and third-place teams received prizes of 75,000 and 25,000 meticais, respectively. The closing ceremony was attended by senior managers from over 25 companies, enhancing visibility and opportunities for the participants. Cornelder CodeLabs not only showcases Mozambique’s young talent but also inspires other companies to support and develop initiatives that drive technological and professional growth in the country. The CodeLabs project was created in 2023 by Cornelder de Moçambique, with the objective of contributing to the development of young professionals in the country. The program also aims to support the growth of young programmers by promoting a competition focused on creating innovative solutions in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). #Corneldercodelabs2024 #Corneldercodelabs #Beira #IT #programmers #Portofbeira
