President Nangolo Mbumba to officiate the launch of the Daures Green Hydrogen facility. At the launch President Mbumba stated that: "Now we see things and now we can touch things. Now we can celebrate that in Namibia things do happen. In Namibia things can be done." ACWA Power, the world’s largest private water desalination company, a leader in energy transition, and a pioneer in green hydrogen, has announced that its Redstone Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plant in South Africa has reached 50 MW and is set to achieve its full 100 MW capacity in the coming days. 🌍 Inspiring Times at the Global African Hydrogen Summit! 🌍 Together with our project partners Hanna Graul and Malte Lindenmeyer from H2Global Stiftung and Fraunhofer IEE, our research assistants Anton Achhammer and Alexander Meisinger had the pleasure of attending the Global African Hydrogen Summit as part of our ongoing research project, H2Global meets Africa. The summit featured nine thematic sessions and six country spotlight sessions, with an impressive lineup of ministers and CEOs from both African countries and the EU. A great platform to discuss the future of hydrogen in Africa and its global implications! A special highlight was seeing our project partner, Susana Moreira from H2Global Stiftung, as a speaker in Session 3: Hydrogen and Clean Energy Offtaker Panel, where insightful discussions on off-take strategies for green hydrogen were front and center.
