Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Brookfield Properties, the project involves interior renovations and the full re-cladding of the 64-year-old structure, which will yield 1.25 million square feet of office space and is expected to achieve LEED Gold certification. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Fifth Avenue between West 52nd and 53rd Streets and was formerly addressed as 666 Fifth Avenue.

Disney Headquarters Tops Out at 4 Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on Four Hudson Square, The Walt Disney Company’s new 22-story headquarters in Hudson Square. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, the 338-foot-tall building will yield 1.2 million square feet of offices, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail space. Lendlease is the contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 137 Varick Street and occupies a full-block parcel bound by Varick Street to the east, Spring Street to the south, Hudson Street to the west, and Vandam Street to the north.

Below-Grade Work Ramps Up for Tribeca Rebel at 65 Franklin Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Below-grade work is continuing at 65 Franklin Street, the site of Tribeca Rebel, a 19-story residential building in Tribeca. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by HAP Investment Developers, which secured $94 million in construction financing from G4 Capital Partners, the 210-foot-tall structure will yield 101,000 square feet with 40 condominiums and around 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Nest Seekers Development Marketing is in charge of sales and marketing with pricing ranging from $2 million to $20 million. Noble Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and Franklin Street.

Waldorf Astoria Renovation and Partial Residential Conversion Progresses in Midtown East, Manhattan

Work continues to progress on the renovation and partial residential conversion of the Waldorf Astoria at 305 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Developed by Andrew Miller of Dajia US, the project is dubbed “The Towers of the Waldorf Astoria” and will yield 375 residences designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and Jean-Louis Deniot that range from studios to sprawling penthouses, as well as an extensive amenity offering. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales and marketing of the units, Suffolk Construction Corporation is the general contractor, Pierre-Yves Rochon is in charge of the revamped hotel interiors, and Simon de Pury is the residential art curator for the 625-foot-tall Art Deco landmark, which occupies a full city block bound by Park Avenue to the west, East 49th Street to the south, East 50th Street to the north, and Lexington Avenue to the east.

Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Soloviev Group, the 237-foot-tall structure yields 15 full-floor two-bedroom condominiums with marketing and sales led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. There are two model residences designed by Calvin Tsao at the property, which is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues directly to the east of the 50-story SOM-designed 9 West 57th Street.
