323 East 79th Street Rises Past Halfway Mark on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 323 East 79th Street, a 17-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side. Designed by Woods Bagot Architects and developed by Boomerang Development Group, which purchased the property from Spruce Capital Partners for $13.7 million, the 214-foot-tall structure will yield 35,045 square feet and 15 full-floor condominium units. Each will feature a three-bedroom, two-bathroom layout with direct elevator access, and some will span two floors. Sunlight Construction AA LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a narrow plot between First and Second Avenues.

Construction has topped out on The Bellemont, a 13-story residential building at 1165 Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Naftali Group, the 120-foot-tall structure will yield 67,680 square feet with 12 condominiums and 3,749 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 86th Street.

Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences Completes Construction at 1185 Broadway in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is complete on the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences, a 45-story skyscraper at 1185 Broadway in NoMad. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 580-foot-tall reinforced concrete tower will yield 250 guest rooms spread across 150,000 square feet and 16 one- and two-bedroom penthouse residences on the upper levels. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street. The Erin Boisson Aries team at Christie’s International Real Estate is handling the sales of the penthouses.

One Madison Avenue’s Vertical Expansion Set to Begin in Flatiron District, Manhattan

A construction crane is now in position and ready for vertical progress on One Madison Avenue, a 27-story office tower expansion in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green, the project involves the gut renovation of an existing eight-story building and structural addition above its roof level, bringing the structure up to 1.4 million square feet of Class A office space. The National Pension Service of Korea and Hines are also part of the development team and recently acquired $1.25 billion in construction financing for the property, which occupies a full block bound by East 23rd and 24th Streets and Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South. The project team is aiming for both WELL and LEED Gold certification.

Construction is rising on 1841 Broadway, a 25-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall structure will yield 180,813 square feet with 173 market rate and affordable housing units as well as 11,741 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern, LLC is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.
