Exclusive new renderings reveal the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center, a 138-foot-tall venue under construction in the World Trade Center complex in the Financial District. Designed by REX with Davis Brody Bond Architects as the executive architect and developed by an independent non-profit company called The Perelman, the project recently topped out at the northern end of the 16-acre site, bound by Greenwich Street to the east, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, and Skidmore Owings & Merrill‘s One World Trade Center to the west.

199 Chrystie Street Finishes Up Construction on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Exterior work is nearing completion on 199 Chrystie Street, a 14-story residential building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen and developed by KD Sagamore Capital, which purchased the plot for $20 million, the 39,188-square-foot building will yield 14 homes in a distinctive interlocking layout with balconies overlooking Sara D. Roosevelt Park. The project site is located near the intersection of Chrystie and Stanton Streets and was previously home to two buildings, 199 and 201 Chrystie Street, which were demolished in early 2019.

First Phase of Emerson Lofts Makes Progress in Jersey City, New Jersey

Construction is progressing on the first phase of Emerson Lofts, a four-tower, 2-million-square-foot mixed-use development along the border of Jersey City and Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Urban Architecture, LLC and developed by Manhattan Building Company, the four-phase project spans 3.5 acres. The first phase topped out last winter, and curtain wall installation is now nearing completion. Work on the ground floor of the 304-foot-tall, 26-floor reinforced concrete superstructure first occurred in March 2020 and the building steadily climbed throughout last year. The site is addressed as 259 Coles Street and rises on a formerly vacant plot that sits along Coles Street between 15th Street to the north and the I-78 West and 139 onramp to the south. 259 Coles Street will yield a total of 350 homes, 307 parking spaces, 10,040 square feet of retail space, and a 23,900-square-foot public use facility.

Developed by Churchill Real Estate Holdings and designed by Ben Hansen Architect with Rand Engineering and Architecture as the architect of record, the 135-foot-tall structure yields 56,160 square feet with 60 condominium units and nine private outdoor parking spaces. The Midtown, Manhattan project stands between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues near the High Line and Hudson Yards.
